Certificate of Candidacy

Oh well! My Title Post sounds Politics. Speaking of Politics --- it is not my game; I do not have Charisma Appeal & I am just a Plain Jane over corridors -- meaning (W-hat Y-ou S-ee is W-hat Y-ou G-et) ; could you imagine having this kind of personality can get over with the Student Government? I just want to share my own story in terms of "My Own Politics". I was a Student Leader before way back in Grade School, High School even in College. yah right! Sounds Interesting? Na-Ah! :P

Let me show you my timeline of my so-called-MY-OWN-POLITICS.

Grade 3 - I ran for the position of Representative of Grade 3; L-O-S-E-R (oh well!)

Grade 4 - I ran again but this time in higher position of Public Relations Officer; W-I-N-N-E-R :)

2nd Year High School - I ran for the position of Senator; W-I-N-N-E-R :)

4th Year High School - I ran for the position of  President; L-O-S-E-R (oh well, again)

3rd Year College - I ran for the position of Assistant Secretary a.k.a. Deputy Secretary; W-I-N-N-E-R :)

I realized so many things when I pursued this Student Government.

1. You have to be Friendly to all --- No matter what happened; their votes will be counted. I lost my first candidacy because I was so prim & proper but I was not friendly --- all I know was just to be the Excellent Girl in my class & that's it! Personality should be built-up & prioritized!

2. You have to be "Ma-GIMIK" --- I remembered that we used different paraphernalia to endorsed the partylist. Give-aways of Bookmarks, Cartolinas, Flyers, Tarpaulins, Button Pins, showing some AVP of the Partylist and even social media like Youtube, Twitter & Facebook --- retweets, share, likes & comments were a must! The most exciting part was the "Miting De Avance" :) By the way, I was under the partylist of Lapiang Liberal ng Letran in College :)

3. Know your Contenders & Target Voters --- Know the backgrounds of your contenders and hit their weaknesses. Do not specialized people; Aim all the students to vote for you. That is why I lost my Presidential Candidacy way back in High School. I got the votes of the Elementary Department (Grade 4 - 6) but My Contender had her votes in High School Department (1st Year - 4th Year).

4. Be Sports --- There is always a rainbow after the storm. It is not yet the end of the world after losing. Take that as an experience to become stronger to another battle of life. There are always reasons after taking that situations. When I lost my first candidacy way back in Grade School; I learned to become more friendly to my classmates. When I lost my candidacy as President way back in High School; I had more time to my academics and graduated as Salutatorian. (naks!) See! :)

5. To all the Winners --- "Walk the Talk" Use the privileges and popularity in good ways. :) Less Talk - Less Mistake - Just Do It!

God's Perfect Plan!

Trust the Lord with all your heart and don't depend on your own understanding. Remember the Lord in all you do and He will give you success. - Proverbs 3:5-6

Sometimes the difficult thing to do is to W-A-I-T. This is especially relevant if we are in a hurry and we want things to happen N-O-W --- if not sooner.

Being the youngest persona that considered as Baby for the family. I could get all the attention and affection from my family. I could easily get what I want in my life at times because of the support of my parents and my only sister.

At this point of my life --- wherein all my loved ones were on abroad. I must/should be responsible for all the aspects of my life. I realized that Patience, Hardwork & Persistent are very much applicable in order to survived this challenging circumstances. Maturity Complex it is!

We humans know precisely what we want. But we don't always know what's best. GOD DOES! He has a perfect plan for each of us. We simply need to trust Him enough to wait and let Him work it out in His perfect timing while we are still being grown through challenges and do our part as well. :)

Palawan - My First Travel

Life is full of First Times. :) I was like 17 years old when I had my first ride to an Airplane going to Palawan. (thanks to our Domestic Tour in Letran!) I was so naive in traveling so therefore picture takings should not be missed out to anywhere & everywhere --- even foods, tickets & sky should have pictures as well. The perks of having Window Seat -- lotsa pictures down under :)

We stayed in The Legend Palawan Hotel for 3 Days & 2 Nights. It was my first time to be accommodated in a Hotel. Oh my gosh! Am I sound so innocent or ignorant? aha aha.

We had the opportunity to experienced the Underground River. It was not yet part of the 7 Wonders of the World at that time. It has a narrow cave with endless river ahead. The beauty of this place was indescribable and so magical! The cave had this Naturally Carved Rocks (stalactites & stalagmites) which portrays different things especially Hollywood Faces. That attractions made it so unique among other places! How Brilliant is the Lord we have; creating a beautiful creature like this here in the Philippines. The Great Sculptor of this Place might be Jesus. :)

Here are the pictures:

 Sorry for being vain! :)

--- I am very much Home Buddy Person! My First Travel gave me the opportunity to unleash this personality of being adventurous to explore new places that can appreciate the differences & beauty of our World and so here I am sharing one of my experiences to everyone.

--- Only in the Philippines! There are many reasons to say that "It's More Fun in the Philippines"

--- Until to my next destination... :)

Navotas City :)

How can we forget our first sanctuary? The place that we started our lives from the scratch to meaningful one.

I was literally raised in Navotas City. The place that I started to learn everything and exposed to the life experiences from infant to adolescent stage. My parents bought the House when I was 7-Month Old; that considered as a blessing for the family from squatters' area to a village lifestyle. By the way, they considered me as a Lucky Charm Baby because when I came out; they earned money to purchased the house. :)

I have lots of memories there. Navotas City - Sunken City as they said. It is a good combination of everything. It has a good balance of pa-sosyal & dugyot kids, bullies & dorks, uto-utos & nang-uuto. I am like this because of the environment that I have been grown up with. I could be pasosyal at times (weh?) and jologs all the time. I like teasing others just for having fun and I know how to defend myself from teasing. aha aha! I could transform from one personality to another that depends to the situation that is why I could easily blend with others at times. Whew! Metamorphosis! aha aha. Most of the time; people have been mistaken the name of Navotas to Malabon or Novaliches because of the overated flood issue & the rhyme counts --- "Ahm, NAVOTAS CITY po!" :)

As they said, all the good things come to an end. We have to say goodbye for us to exposed to another phase of our life. We decided to sell our House in Navotas City for us to live in Sta. Rosa, Laguna. From North Girl to South Girl. Lots of Pros & Cons, but we have to faced it because as what I have said LIFE IS FULL OF SURPRISES. :)

Take Care Everyone! :)

My WonderNanay

Nanay-Mama-Mommy-Mother

All of us have special places in our hearts, when we talked about our Nanays. I love calling my mother as "Nanay". It is somewhat caring and lovable name for me.

I will share my 5 Things You Should Know About My Nanay

1. ELVA ALVAREZ SALDITOS  - Half Spanish-Half Filipino - she was raised in Negros Occidental. True Ilongga by Mind & Heart. --- Having an Ilongga Mother is like no other. Her caress voice would not show her emotions as mad neither anger. My Tatay is much more talkative than her. She is a Woman of Few Words. She does not like talking too much but when my Mother started to speak, it is TRUE & SINCERE.

2. My PEG FOR LIFE - I do have many celebrity pegs but my Nanay is my very peg of all my pegs in all attributes of life. She possessed Faith & Love to our Heavenly Father. She taught me to become closer to Jesus & Mother Mary. When I was in grade school, she always told us to attend the Flores De Mayo in our Church together with my Ate. Then until now, I'm still inlove with the Lord & Mother Mary that for keeps for life.

3. My ROOM MATE - I am now 22 years old and I love to sleep beside my mother with matching tanday with yakap to her. She is my big pillow. I feel so relaxed as I hugged my chubby Nanay in my California King Bed and it released all the stresses within the day.We had this so-called Midnight Bonding in McDo, Minute Burger & 7-Eleven before we sleep as we making laugh to each other.

4. My GREAT PARTNER - She knows everything about me. She can handle my tantrums & childish acts. I always tell to her all my plans in life. She is my favorite cheerer as she lifted my ego to become stronger and pursue all my goals. We are more-like Barkada Relationship as we treated each other. She is my Best Friend, Indeed!

5. My GREAT HEALER - Every time when I am sick physically & emotionally. My Nanay is my confidante; She is my favorite taga-hilot. It healed me as I felt the warmth of her body as sh e hugged, touched and kissed me. I remembered when I was so depressed with everything in my life even until now; she was there praying for me without being so pry as I cried a lot. Motherly Love it is!

--- In few days from now as I made this blog, my Nanay will be going to London as she entered another phase of her life - being a LOLA.

--- I am gonna miss her a lot as in very much. :'( No more so-called Midnight Bonding if there is no one to be bonded with. How would I sleep without having my Big Pillow? How would I pray without having my Leader in Rosary? Who will be my companion in making Unlimited Chikas every morning, afternoon and even going to sleep? Who will be going to call me as "ANN"? Who will be going to text me everyday saying "SAN KA NA ANN?" & "GOD BLESS ANN". Oh Yes! Capitalized letters as she texted me that way!

--- Oh my! thanks to technology. We have different tunnels of communications that did not seem they are so far away.

--- God has so much surprises in our lives. We must be ready for those LIFE'S SURPRISES. <3

Shoo-Shoo Negaholics!

I know everyone can relate with the word "Negative Feeling" ---  new term "Bad Vibes". We always/sometimes worried about the things that might happen to our career, lovelife, family and to all our future plans. Paranoia - thinking what will happen tomorrow, next week, next month and for this coming year. It can ruined our personalities thinking those freaking possibilities.

Ambassador of Positive Vibes -- if only I could become a representative of Team Manila for this statement. I would volunteer myself :)

I am Positive/Optimistic person. As easy as it seems; If only I could sustain this prowess of principle for life. Human Being is destined to make mistakes that is why it reciprocates to the capacity of becoming failure-loser-frustrated in our plans. We are afraid for the bad circumstances to happened that resulted as not to take the risks. Nevertheless, I believed that breaking out from our comfort zones would help us to achieve new experiences. We would not know what life has in store for us if we are afraid to try - try - try all over again.....

We are unable control everything but we can react to the situations. It is just a mind over matter effect. I am really having fun reading Bible Scriptures that can uplift my morale and perspectives in life. I will share some of my favorite bible verses.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthen me - Philippians 4:13

The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me; your love, O Lord - Psalm 138:8

Commit to the Lord whatever you do and your plans will succeed - Proverbs 16:3

For I know the plans I have for you; Plan to prosper you, not to harm you, plans to give you hope in future - Jeremiah 29:11

Ask, and it will be given to you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives; and he who seeks, finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened. - Matthew 7:7-8

We must take these Bible Verses to encouraged/uplifted our spirits. It really helped a lot --- there are lots of motivational verses in the Bible.  a Bible is not a Book of Arguments but a Book of Promised of God's Love. <3

If we feel so lowly and down, surround ourselves with people that can listen & motivate our personalities. I am one of those blessed people having Family that is God-Centered. They are my No. 1 Fan --- as if I have many/more fans out there! Feeler Me! :P

I would end this blog entry with my Nanay's Ultimate Word.

--- KALMANTE ---

-- there is no such word as KALMANTE. It composed of two words: Kalma & Kampante. My Nanay explained that if it is God's Will; It Will Happen -- then nothing to worry :)

GOD BLESS YOU! :)
