Fearless + Trust = 2012

"Fearless & Trust" were the words that could describe my year 2012.

Why "FEARLESS & TRUST"?

1. I sustained myself fearlessly the moment that I decided to quit my somewhat dream job in a Casual Dining Restaurant (Managerial Position)  because of too much pressure, distance, time of duty and the nervous of my family when I had not arrived yet at the middle of the night in our house. I trust my family's advice as regards with my career. I transferred to another field that not related to my college course for the goodness' sake. Food Industry to Sales & Marketing Field. WhattaCareerShift! :P

2. I sustained myself fearlessly when my Mother had to go to London with my sister. I controlled my emotions the moment that my mother stepped in the departure area of the airport, because I know for sure that my life routine will become totally different without her presence. I trust this turn-point of my life. I considered it as a blessing that really taught me to become more matured and responsible to myself yet still guided by my family. :B

3. I sustained myself fearlessly to trust the perfect God's Plans! Have you experienced to choose between two good offers? It is kinda mind-boggling, but of course you would choose the MOST AMAZING, CAREER-WISE & LIFETIME BEST OFFER, then so AM I! :)!

--- My 2012 is a totally life-changing year for me. ---

The Things That I Have Learned To Year 2012

a. Decide for myself yet still consulting to my family. -- I prioritized my family's counseling.

b. Survive life using streetwise moves -- these moves cannot be learned in Academe, it is self-exploring skills.

c. Prolong patience -- if you always in a hurry to achieved something, you might neglect the best things that near yet to come. Enjoy the moment, learned from it & do something to achieved higher.

d. Strengthen the Family Values -- we cannot beat the foundation of the unit of society a so-called FAMILY! When all else fails, there are always to support, guide and make sermons/advice to make our directions be good!

e. Deepen the Faith -- I always thank Lord Jesus and Mama Mary for giving me not so perfect life but realistic and surviving life and for giving me much more than I deserved!

P.S.
--- I got the worst ill (Chicken Pox) this year. Good Thing! My quite damaged face was not totally been damaged by those pumps. aha aha.

CHEERS 2013! <3<3<3

My Christmas 2012

I have been grown up celebrating Christmas & New Year as a virtual communication to my family abroad. My Father is a Seafarer since then as a source of our livelihood and my Sister became a Flight Attendant of International Airline later on. I am a perfect example of picturesque of Family having Overseas Filipino Workers. Actually, I get used to it. *wink*

If you are aware of the movie  Home Alone Part 1 & 2 of Macaulay Culkin. I can say that my Christmas Celebration this year was like that movie. I mean not so literally ALONE --- but somewhat away from my family. My Father is still a Seafarer & my Mother, Sister with her husband Kuya Jay were already lived in London together with my two angels (niece & nephew)

I had a Unique Christmas Celebration this year. It is my first time to spent my Holidays in Pampanga; to the family of Kuya Jay. I considered them as my 2nd Family. They treated me as part of the family as well as me to them. In fact, I gained weight everytime I went in Pampanga, it feels like heaven as I ate every delicious foods that they served. Yumyum!

Here are the lists of all the things that I have done in Pampangga:

1. Watched MMFF Entries
     - Si Agimat, Si Enteng Kabisote at Si Ako
     - Sisterakas
2. Munched Razon's Halo-Halo
3. Strolled in Robinsons Pampangga
4. Visited some relatives
5. Pictorials of Donna & Junee :)
6. Chat Time in London
7. Chikahans with Ate Jaylene & Nanay Rita
8. Kulitans with the Kiddos as they were Enteng & Agimat and I was the Villain
9. Making Plans for Baguio Getaway this coming January. yeeey!
10. lots of EATING :B

Hair - The Invisible Crown

"Hair is the Crowning Glory of a Woman."

Most of us girls are very conscious about the looks of our hair. From the style, color, length and trends of hair -- we are very particular about that! That is why "Bad Hair Day" cliche invented. Some people said if you changed your hairstyle; you are into heartbreaking experience. Na-ah! That is why "Ang babae, kapag broken hearted, mas lalong gumaganda. Kaya maglaway ka ngayon!" aha aha. Kinda Funny!

Nevertheless, Being a Woman should be looked beautiful and confident because....

"This is the part of me that you're never gonna ever take away from me, NO"
- Katy Perry (Part of Me)

I can say that I already mastered the vanity of hair. My hair is kinda thick, wavy and unmanageable. Gaaah! As a matter of fact, I was 14 years old when I had my first Relax Straightening Treatment from Les Pappu Salon. My sister influenced me to try that treatment because we have the same hair dilemma. It runs in the blood & lineage counts! :)

Here are some pictures of my different hairstyles:

I am thinking for something different for my hair that I have never tried before. I browsed in the internet of a hairstyle that would be suited to my well-rounded face. aha aha.

Drum Roll Please!

Ta-raaaaan!

Brunette Haircolor with having a Long Bobcut Hairstyle.

Thanks to Bench Fix Salon - Nuvali for my New Look. :)

My Hair Color was inspired by Ms. Bianca Gonzalez. It is because we are both Proud Morena. :)

Tips:
  • Have some research! We should know specifically our hairstyles to be portrayed on. It is better to show off some pictures to visualized our perspective.
  • Trust the professionalism of the Hair Stylist. They might get irritated if you are too much demanding and controlling of their responsibilities.
  • Never hesitate to say "NO" for some suggestive treatments; if you know that your hair does not need it and enough for your budget.
  • Lastly yet the most important - Prepare your budget. :)

Happy Thoughts 101

I received a lot of good news & I feel so blessed. It is really true that God's plan is better than our plans; I can say that I am a Living Proof of that! Oh yes! I experienced failures that give me motivations to be prepared and appreciate the next big things in my life.... It is okay to feel upset but do not prolong the agony. Failures are just temporary. Look forward! I would choose not to elaborate for now the stories. I just want to release the happiness that I am experiencing right now!

Wonderful Life it is! Pray deeply & Keep the Faith! <3

Rants 101

I feel so unproductive these days. I have nothing good things to do. I never imagined myself doing nothing like this. Waiting for something - Hoping for something.

My gosh! What's happening to me? I do not like this feeling! Knowing that this character is not so me! Maybe it is because of the anxiety of being away from my family. Plus the fact that I found 5 White Hair in my head. I feel so old and wasted! Gaaaaaah!

---- sorry people for these rants blog post! I just want to feel better as I released these unwanted feelings....

---- I know that something wonderful will happen to me.  I CLAIM IT!

---- (off-topic) I used my iPad to typed this blog entry post! "Amazing" 🔥

Certificate of Candidacy

Oh well! My Title Post sounds Politics. Speaking of Politics --- it is not my game; I do not have Charisma Appeal & I am just a Plain Jane over corridors -- meaning (W-hat Y-ou S-ee is W-hat Y-ou G-et) ; could you imagine having this kind of personality can get over with the Student Government? I just want to share my own story in terms of "My Own Politics". I was a Student Leader before way back in Grade School, High School even in College. yah right! Sounds Interesting? Na-Ah! :P

Let me show you my timeline of my so-called-MY-OWN-POLITICS.

Grade 3 - I ran for the position of Representative of Grade 3; L-O-S-E-R (oh well!)

Grade 4 - I ran again but this time in higher position of Public Relations Officer; W-I-N-N-E-R :)

2nd Year High School - I ran for the position of Senator; W-I-N-N-E-R :)

4th Year High School - I ran for the position of  President; L-O-S-E-R (oh well, again)

3rd Year College - I ran for the position of Assistant Secretary a.k.a. Deputy Secretary; W-I-N-N-E-R :)

I realized so many things when I pursued this Student Government.

1. You have to be Friendly to all --- No matter what happened; their votes will be counted. I lost my first candidacy because I was so prim & proper but I was not friendly --- all I know was just to be the Excellent Girl in my class & that's it! Personality should be built-up & prioritized!

2. You have to be "Ma-GIMIK" --- I remembered that we used different paraphernalia to endorsed the partylist. Give-aways of Bookmarks, Cartolinas, Flyers, Tarpaulins, Button Pins, showing some AVP of the Partylist and even social media like Youtube, Twitter & Facebook --- retweets, share, likes & comments were a must! The most exciting part was the "Miting De Avance" :) By the way, I was under the partylist of Lapiang Liberal ng Letran in College :)

3. Know your Contenders & Target Voters --- Know the backgrounds of your contenders and hit their weaknesses. Do not specialized people; Aim all the students to vote for you. That is why I lost my Presidential Candidacy way back in High School. I got the votes of the Elementary Department (Grade 4 - 6) but My Contender had her votes in High School Department (1st Year - 4th Year).

4. Be Sports --- There is always a rainbow after the storm. It is not yet the end of the world after losing. Take that as an experience to become stronger to another battle of life. There are always reasons after taking that situations. When I lost my first candidacy way back in Grade School; I learned to become more friendly to my classmates. When I lost my candidacy as President way back in High School; I had more time to my academics and graduated as Salutatorian. (naks!) See! :)

5. To all the Winners --- "Walk the Talk" Use the privileges and popularity in good ways. :) Less Talk - Less Mistake - Just Do It!

God's Perfect Plan!

Trust the Lord with all your heart and don't depend on your own understanding. Remember the Lord in all you do and He will give you success. - Proverbs 3:5-6

Sometimes the difficult thing to do is to W-A-I-T. This is especially relevant if we are in a hurry and we want things to happen N-O-W --- if not sooner.

Being the youngest persona that considered as Baby for the family. I could get all the attention and affection from my family. I could easily get what I want in my life at times because of the support of my parents and my only sister.

At this point of my life --- wherein all my loved ones were on abroad. I must/should be responsible for all the aspects of my life. I realized that Patience, Hardwork & Persistent are very much applicable in order to survived this challenging circumstances. Maturity Complex it is!

We humans know precisely what we want. But we don't always know what's best. GOD DOES! He has a perfect plan for each of us. We simply need to trust Him enough to wait and let Him work it out in His perfect timing while we are still being grown through challenges and do our part as well. :)

Palawan - My First Travel

Life is full of First Times. :) I was like 17 years old when I had my first ride to an Airplane going to Palawan. (thanks to our Domestic Tour in Letran!) I was so naive in traveling so therefore picture takings should not be missed out to anywhere & everywhere --- even foods, tickets & sky should have pictures as well. The perks of having Window Seat -- lotsa pictures down under :)

We stayed in The Legend Palawan Hotel for 3 Days & 2 Nights. It was my first time to be accommodated in a Hotel. Oh my gosh! Am I sound so innocent or ignorant? aha aha.

We had the opportunity to experienced the Underground River. It was not yet part of the 7 Wonders of the World at that time. It has a narrow cave with endless river ahead. The beauty of this place was indescribable and so magical! The cave had this Naturally Carved Rocks (stalactites & stalagmites) which portrays different things especially Hollywood Faces. That attractions made it so unique among other places! How Brilliant is the Lord we have; creating a beautiful creature like this here in the Philippines. The Great Sculptor of this Place might be Jesus. :)

Here are the pictures:

 Sorry for being vain! :)

--- I am very much Home Buddy Person! My First Travel gave me the opportunity to unleash this personality of being adventurous to explore new places that can appreciate the differences & beauty of our World and so here I am sharing one of my experiences to everyone.

--- Only in the Philippines! There are many reasons to say that "It's More Fun in the Philippines"

--- Until to my next destination... :)

Navotas City :)

How can we forget our first sanctuary? The place that we started our lives from the scratch to meaningful one.

I was literally raised in Navotas City. The place that I started to learn everything and exposed to the life experiences from infant to adolescent stage. My parents bought the House when I was 7-Month Old; that considered as a blessing for the family from squatters' area to a village lifestyle. By the way, they considered me as a Lucky Charm Baby because when I came out; they earned money to purchased the house. :)

I have lots of memories there. Navotas City - Sunken City as they said. It is a good combination of everything. It has a good balance of pa-sosyal & dugyot kids, bullies & dorks, uto-utos & nang-uuto. I am like this because of the environment that I have been grown up with. I could be pasosyal at times (weh?) and jologs all the time. I like teasing others just for having fun and I know how to defend myself from teasing. aha aha! I could transform from one personality to another that depends to the situation that is why I could easily blend with others at times. Whew! Metamorphosis! aha aha. Most of the time; people have been mistaken the name of Navotas to Malabon or Novaliches because of the overated flood issue & the rhyme counts --- "Ahm, NAVOTAS CITY po!" :)

As they said, all the good things come to an end. We have to say goodbye for us to exposed to another phase of our life. We decided to sell our House in Navotas City for us to live in Sta. Rosa, Laguna. From North Girl to South Girl. Lots of Pros & Cons, but we have to faced it because as what I have said LIFE IS FULL OF SURPRISES. :)

Take Care Everyone! :)

My WonderNanay

Nanay-Mama-Mommy-Mother

All of us have special places in our hearts, when we talked about our Nanays. I love calling my mother as "Nanay". It is somewhat caring and lovable name for me.

I will share my 5 Things You Should Know About My Nanay

1. ELVA ALVAREZ SALDITOS  - Half Spanish-Half Filipino - she was raised in Negros Occidental. True Ilongga by Mind & Heart. --- Having an Ilongga Mother is like no other. Her caress voice would not show her emotions as mad neither anger. My Tatay is much more talkative than her. She is a Woman of Few Words. She does not like talking too much but when my Mother started to speak, it is TRUE & SINCERE.

2. My PEG FOR LIFE - I do have many celebrity pegs but my Nanay is my very peg of all my pegs in all attributes of life. She possessed Faith & Love to our Heavenly Father. She taught me to become closer to Jesus & Mother Mary. When I was in grade school, she always told us to attend the Flores De Mayo in our Church together with my Ate. Then until now, I'm still inlove with the Lord & Mother Mary that for keeps for life.

3. My ROOM MATE - I am now 22 years old and I love to sleep beside my mother with matching tanday with yakap to her. She is my big pillow. I feel so relaxed as I hugged my chubby Nanay in my California King Bed and it released all the stresses within the day.We had this so-called Midnight Bonding in McDo, Minute Burger & 7-Eleven before we sleep as we making laugh to each other.

4. My GREAT PARTNER - She knows everything about me. She can handle my tantrums & childish acts. I always tell to her all my plans in life. She is my favorite cheerer as she lifted my ego to become stronger and pursue all my goals. We are more-like Barkada Relationship as we treated each other. She is my Best Friend, Indeed!

5. My GREAT HEALER - Every time when I am sick physically & emotionally. My Nanay is my confidante; She is my favorite taga-hilot. It healed me as I felt the warmth of her body as sh e hugged, touched and kissed me. I remembered when I was so depressed with everything in my life even until now; she was there praying for me without being so pry as I cried a lot. Motherly Love it is!

--- In few days from now as I made this blog, my Nanay will be going to London as she entered another phase of her life - being a LOLA.

--- I am gonna miss her a lot as in very much. :'( No more so-called Midnight Bonding if there is no one to be bonded with. How would I sleep without having my Big Pillow? How would I pray without having my Leader in Rosary? Who will be my companion in making Unlimited Chikas every morning, afternoon and even going to sleep? Who will be going to call me as "ANN"? Who will be going to text me everyday saying "SAN KA NA ANN?" & "GOD BLESS ANN". Oh Yes! Capitalized letters as she texted me that way!

--- Oh my! thanks to technology. We have different tunnels of communications that did not seem they are so far away.

--- God has so much surprises in our lives. We must be ready for those LIFE'S SURPRISES. <3

Shoo-Shoo Negaholics!

I know everyone can relate with the word "Negative Feeling" ---  new term "Bad Vibes". We always/sometimes worried about the things that might happen to our career, lovelife, family and to all our future plans. Paranoia - thinking what will happen tomorrow, next week, next month and for this coming year. It can ruined our personalities thinking those freaking possibilities.

Ambassador of Positive Vibes -- if only I could become a representative of Team Manila for this statement. I would volunteer myself :)

I am Positive/Optimistic person. As easy as it seems; If only I could sustain this prowess of principle for life. Human Being is destined to make mistakes that is why it reciprocates to the capacity of becoming failure-loser-frustrated in our plans. We are afraid for the bad circumstances to happened that resulted as not to take the risks. Nevertheless, I believed that breaking out from our comfort zones would help us to achieve new experiences. We would not know what life has in store for us if we are afraid to try - try - try all over again.....

We are unable control everything but we can react to the situations. It is just a mind over matter effect. I am really having fun reading Bible Scriptures that can uplift my morale and perspectives in life. I will share some of my favorite bible verses.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthen me - Philippians 4:13

The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me; your love, O Lord - Psalm 138:8

Commit to the Lord whatever you do and your plans will succeed - Proverbs 16:3

For I know the plans I have for you; Plan to prosper you, not to harm you, plans to give you hope in future - Jeremiah 29:11

Ask, and it will be given to you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives; and he who seeks, finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened. - Matthew 7:7-8

We must take these Bible Verses to encouraged/uplifted our spirits. It really helped a lot --- there are lots of motivational verses in the Bible.  a Bible is not a Book of Arguments but a Book of Promised of God's Love. <3

If we feel so lowly and down, surround ourselves with people that can listen & motivate our personalities. I am one of those blessed people having Family that is God-Centered. They are my No. 1 Fan --- as if I have many/more fans out there! Feeler Me! :P

I would end this blog entry with my Nanay's Ultimate Word.

--- KALMANTE ---

-- there is no such word as KALMANTE. It composed of two words: Kalma & Kampante. My Nanay explained that if it is God's Will; It Will Happen -- then nothing to worry :)

GOD BLESS YOU! :)

Meet My Loco-Loco Friends :)

Meet my Loco-Loco Friends - Aeron & Eden -

1. Eden has been my classmate since Elementary until High School. Our first acquaintance was just simply "hi-hello-smile". Way back in Elementary, she had her own circle of friends as well as mine. I think our first bonding together was an Inggo 1587 Concert  (group of Dominican Priests having Concert for Church Fund-Raising) with special participation of Salbakuta. We are just laughing around simultaneously. That is our common denomination - LAUGH AS YOU CAN UNTIL YOU CRIED! (i can't help it! aha aha) Our friendship was getting stronger when we transferred to the same Academe in High School. Ohhh! It took us 6years to become closer to closest --- that resulted to Friendship.. WhattaLongRun!

2. Aeron has been my classmate since High School then School Mate in College. On my First Day High. He was absent! Nothing to wonder! Aeron is a perfect combination of Absent & Late (pasicat kasi! *joke). He was very SHY as if transferees like me will eat him alive. :) Actually, I do not know how we became close; it was just a magic; hmmmn CHEMISTRY as they called it. We laughed together; making fools of others; seatmates-groupmates-thingies. Our friendship is totally SERENDIPITY. Therefore, he is my FAVORITE ACCIDENT. :)

--- We are already in our 20s!. Time Flies :) We already have our own circle of friends as we enter the phase of College Life & Corporate World. Our likes and dislikes were changed already. Some events that happened to us that changed our entire life as a human. We have already our own pathways and careers. We had now our own laughs, cries, fear, nervous, cramming & etc.

--- Our bonding moments are like no other. - Karaoke Madness until Midnight  - Swimming Galore - Okrayan Moments. We were triplets from different mothers. --- "Kung nasan ang isa, Nandun din ang dalawa". Our little quarrels were like out of this world. Our high school classmates were very much affected with our childish fights.

--- Still, my memories with you people are incomparable. My High School Adventures were incomplete without having Aeron & Eden. Both of you give big impacts in my personality. My gut-feeling turned to self-confidence. Kapalmuks! Wheeew! Positivity & Optimistic are the best definitions to our bright personalities. :)

I WON'T BE THE MAY-ANN NOW; WITHOUT THEM!

P.S.

--- I MISS YOU & I LOVE YOU SOOO MUCH!

--- Success to our endeavors & lovelives <3

--- More Laughs Soon! :)

Sweetest Miracle :)

Sophia Marian Ala-an Manansala
         - the very first grand daughter
         - my first niece
         - my god daughter
         - the angel of the family

She was born all the way in London. Asian Pride with a British Citizenship. She was a Surprised Baby for us because we do not have idea that Ate will get pregnant; we are looking forward for that to happened but not as early after the wedding. Knowing Ate that she only had one ovary.

GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME!

Such a Miracle Baby comes to our way!

I was speechless and teary eyed when I saw her first picture. So adorable, innocent & full of hope for the new beginning of life. She is the content of all my stories and social sites every now and then. Even here in my BLOG! :) Sorry. I just can't help it to hide how proud Tita I am... Having an Angel Niece in our family :)

I was so overwhelmed as a Tita having a Cute Niece; How much more to my Ate? Are you familiar with the Beauty Q&A that goes like this "What is the Essence of a Woman?" --- Some of the common answers in this question are to become a Mother & experienced the Motherhood Stage. I know Ate is much more achiever than to a Miss Universe Title Holder as she gave birth to angel named Sophia Marian.

The First Month of Sophia :) The Cute Celebration to our Cute Angel :D

My One Year Old Niece greeted me to my 22nd Birthday. Every crazy little things that she did make me gaga all over! Every time I watched this video; it sets me in a good mood. The feelings are indescribable and priceless :) Knowing that she will be the next generation of our....

BEAUTIFUL CLAN :)

Do you think she has my APPEAL? aha aha! *feeling!

I love you my Pretty Niece Sophia! Excited to see you soon.. Cuddle you sooo much tighter! :)

I Am Wonder May :)

"I praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. WONDERFUL are Your works; my soul knows it very well" - Psalm 139:14

I know within my heart that I am wonderful inside and outside aspects of my life (call me biased; it is my blog anyway! *joke). I am a wanna-be-wonderwoman-wanna-be (confusing, right?) I just love the word "Wonderful". That is it! Period. :)

I thought I was UGLY. I wrote the word "WAS" meaning it was before. I was very insecure with my sun-kissed-complexion, fun-sized physique, man-liked-legs, how-i-wish-i-was-her-thingy and whatsoever insecurities in life. That pushed me to tried almost all the mercury content whitening products, took height enhancer but nothing happened, shaved my legs at early age and whatsoever beauty regimens to portray all the Beautiful Personalities in this Universe.

These kind of perspectives in life were totally washed away. Do you want to know the secret? Actually, it is not a secret; you just not even noticed it. That We are Fearfully, Wonderfully & Uniquely Made by our Creator.

"The mind is everything. What you think you become"

I am holding to its line. If you think you are Rich; You are Rich. If you think you are Intelligent; You are Intelligent. If you think you are Beautiful; You are Beautiful. The best things in life are free. We are living in a Free Country so by thinking of these objectives are free. Why don't you try it? - it's all about Mind over Matter. :) Actions should be applied to our goal attributes. An "A" for an EFFORT is a must!

WE ARE WONDERFUL BEINGS; INDEED!

P.S.

MIND is powerful if it's accompanied by WONDERFUL DEEDS :)
